SCREENING TEST - SSB INTERVIEWS
What is screening test all about?
Services Selection Board Interview- Screening In
Screening in is the preliminary test conducted by the SSB to eliminate
Unlikely candidate for further test
Approximately 50 -60% of the candidates get weeded out
What do they test?
- Officers’ Intelligence Rating test
- Verbal and Non verbal IQ tests
- Picture story Writing
- Group Discussion on the story
- Individual picture story description for about 1 minute
- Final Result
For IAF Pilots test
The screening in is preceded by PABT
Then EKT for Engineering Graduates
For other graduates it would be Common Entrance Test
Only on clearing these test they would be allowed to sit for
Screening test as described above
What do they see in these tests?
Ø Average intelligence
Ø Ability to narrate the story well
Ø Ability to interact amongst a group
Do’s:
Be Presentable (Dress) this is the first time you are being seen by the board of officers
Be loud enough to be audible by all the persons sitting in the hall
Have a clear understanding of the picture
Tell what you have written (not what you thought about it afterwards or after hearing others. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR STORY)
Be able to influence others ( if your story is good)
Be able to accept and change your ideas if others are good.
Do not dominate in the GD
Do not be dumb speak up
Do not argue
Above all have confidence in your own ability
YES YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!
